Bhojpuri film world's most popular star Ravi Kishan is busy with his production house these days. A few days ago, Ravi Kishan's parents launched his film 'Pandit Ji Byah Kab Hoi'.
Apart from being an actor, you're also a producer now. Any specific reason for this?
Being an actor we work and like someone else's script. And that is how it should be. So I thought the best way to make changes and come up with what I feel should be presented to the audience is to be a producer myself.That's why I have opened my own production house. Earlier I have produced films like Bihari Mafia and Satyamev Jayate. I have given break to Pt Birju Maharaj's granddaughter Sinjhani in 'Pandit Ji Byah Kab Hoi. The film will be released in January.
Do you think Bhojpuri industry will be able to get any advantage on being linked to someone like Pt Birju Maharaj?
The state of Bhojpuri film industry has improved to a large extent. While some come in the industry to invest, some gain out of it. Bhojpuri stars are called for popular reality shows like Bigg Boss. Manoj Tiwari, Nirahua have made it big with their hard work and I am sure this industry will develop a lot.
