Twenty four adorable dogs walking the ramp... Well, it's a scene from JayasreeBhattacharyya's upcoming film, Pati Parameshwar. Starring RituparnaSengupta, RajatavaDutta, Rahul and BiswanathBasu among others, the film has an interesting plot that revolves around the bond shared between human beings and dogs.
Though Jayasree had a tough time shooting the ramp sequence, she is really happy about the way it has shaped up.Jayasree said, It was indeed an achievement for the entire team. Shooting with 24 dogs was no mean feat." Leo, a labrador from Chennai and Pluto, a Lasha Apso, play significant roles in the film. Leo is a star in Chennai and is an intelligent dog. We got some fantastic shots for the film. The team spent a lot of time with the dogs before selecting the best. After studying 76 dogs, we zeroed in on 24.Then we planned on their costumes, keeping in mind their comfort. The dogs loved having ice creams," she added.
Lead actress RituparnaSengupta, too, is excited about her furry co-stars in the film. It was entirely a new experience for me to shoot with a bunch of dogs. Initially, I was really scared. But as time went by, we started enjoying each other's company," smiled Rituparna.
The movie will see Rituparna hiring a private detective to find her pet dog, Pluto. Interestingly, Leo also had a dummy who did most of the rehearsal shots. Leo was very friendly with the team. He would spend more time with Ritu and share her makeup room," Jayasree informed.
Also, the dogs were so well-trained that there was hardly any chaos on the sets. One day, however, it so happened that after Pluto gave a shot, Leo simply refused to shoot. The trainer explained that Leo was uncomfortable with the female scent and, thus, he was uncomfortable. It was a great learning experience," the director concluded.
