BHOPAL: A man reenacted the famous water-tank suicide sequence scene from Sholay at Seven Number Bus Stop, on Tuesday. He created quite a stir for about an hour after climbing a mobile tower.
The man insisted on getting justice from chief minister and threatened to end his life. However, municipal corporation employees and police brought him down and booked him for attempting suicide.
This is the fifth such incident in the past few months wherein a person has resorted to similar tactics to get attention and press his demands.

In a fresh incident, police said, Dinesh Pal, 33, a resident of Shivaji Nagar, climbed a mobile tower with a rope in his hands to commit suicide. The man was shouting for justice. He refused to come down when policemen and BMC employees used a hydraulic lift and established a dialogue with him. They asked him to come down.
The police said Pal is a driver and was unhappy as he could not get the ration BPL ration card. He also alleged that municipal corporation had taken away his pushcart in an anti-encroachment drive.
The man who has a wife and two kids was not believed to be under the influence of liquor. Police said he could not reach the top of the tower.
A huge crowd gathered on the spot. Somehow, the accused was brought down, arrested and subsequently released on bail, police added.

September 20- Santosh Saini, a vendor, climbed a tower near Jyoti Talkies triggering drama for well over two hours.
June 10- A 40-year-old inebriated man, whose wife refused to live with him, climbed a mobile tower near Kolar trisection and created a scene for two hours.
March 12- Mohammad Rafique, 65, climbed on overhead water tank on office premises of SP (south) and threatened to commit suicide in protest against ban on free sale of kerosene.
March 15-Three people, including a woman, climbed an under construction overhead water tank opposite Dussehra Maidan at Ashoka Garden in protest against ban on free sale of kerosene.
