Man electrocuted during Muharram procession

One person died and nine others injured when a peeri (religious flag post) held high by the victim touched the live electric wire during the Muharram procession at Achaiahpally village under Yellareddy police station limits.

According to Circle Inspector G.V.S Ramakrishna, the victim was identified as Jinka Sailoo (30) of Achaiahpally. Among the injured, the condition of two persons was serious and they were shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

The remaining injured persons were admitted to the PHC in Yellareddy, Mr. Ramakrishna said.
