Activists of Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuva Sakti (TNTYS) performed special rituals in Kanaka Durga temple at the foothill of Indrakeeladri here on Monday in what was a thanksgiving to the goddess for the bail that former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa got in the disproportionate assets case from a Bangalore court recently.

Holding portraits of Ms. Jayalalithaa and party flags, the TNTYS activists shouted slogans in favour of the AIADMK leader.

Speaking to media persons, TNTYS President K. Jagadeeswara Reddy said that rituals were performed at temples of Goddess Sakti across the country wishing their leader well. Mr Jagadeeswara Reddy alleged that Ms. Jayalalithaa was implicated in false cases by her detractors but the sanction of bail proved that the ‘good would ultimately triumph over the evil’. Ms. Jayalalithaa had love and affection of Telugu people living in Tamil Nadu, he said.
