Malavika Avinash wants Shankar Nag’s dream to come alive

The actress responds to TOI report
Malavika Avinash wants Shankar Nag’s dream to come alive
Actress-turned-politician Malavika Avinash is known to speak her mind on topics that matter to her. She doesn’t shy away from talking about things that she believes to be right and is appreciated for the same. Malavika, who is very active on social media, took time out to give her opinion about a Times of India report on the need for artistic spaces, which was late actor Shankar Nag’s dream.

Her post reads, "Given Fewer artistic spaces & envisioning that while the world will grow smaller, Bengaluru will grow(oh what forethought), the legendary Shankar Nag decided that every locality should have a theatre space...Arundhatiji, a theatre giant herself gave it form(after a Herculean struggle) & hence RangaShankara! As I read this morning's TOI discussing shrinking/absence of rangamandiras, Cant help but wonder...while traffic has grown rendering commuting cumbersome, appetite for theatre has grown, not much has changed in terms of spaces since Shankar Nag!if only the Govt & private players could help Arundhathiji give life to Shankar Nag’s vision!"
