Patronise AIE flights on Mangaluru-Kuwait sector, advises Mangaluru City South MLA

KUWAIT: Mangaluru City South MLA J R Lobo made a passionate plea to presidents and office bearers of various Karnataka State Associations in Kuwait to patronise the Air India Express flight services on the Kuwait-Mangaluru sector. The meeting was arranged by United Associations of Karnataka, Kuwait (UAKK) convened by social activist Fayaz Sheikh at SIMS auditorium, Salmiya, Kuwait.J R Lobo was the chief guest at this interaction meet.
Hasan Yusuf, chief coordinator of UAKK gave details of UAKK efforts and follow ups with various authorities concerned regarding Kuwait-Mangaluru sector flights. He thanked AIE for restoration of flight services on Kuwait-Mangaluru sector as well as the UAKK leaders, Union Civil Aviation Ministry, CM Siddaramaiah, ministers U T Kader, and Roshan Baig, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLC Ivan D'Souza, Lobo and leaders of KORWA Mangaluru.
Pascal Pinto and Satishchandra Shetty - prominent NRIs, thanked AIE for restoring flights on Kuwait - Mangaluru sector. They requested all NRIs of Coastal Karnataka in Kuwait to make use of AIE flights in Kuwait-Mangaluru sector. Lobo too urged the NRI community in Kuwait to patronize AIE services on the sector and help in smooth running of the flights. Lobo cautioned that this may be the last chance to retain AIE services to Kuwait - Mangaluru sector.
Lobo shared his experiences about his recent meetings with Union minister of state for civil aviation G M Siddeshwar and AIE MD and CEO Rohit Nandan who approved restoration of AIE express services on this sector. In the question and answer session, the NRIs form coastal Karnataka and northern parts of Kerala suggested points to increase passenger load on Kuwait - Mangaluru sector, and concerns they face while choosing AIE flights.
Lobo assured the audience and leaders of UAKK member associations that he will be their voice and convey their concerns to the civil aviation ministry and AIE management regarding flight timings, and so on. He assured he will suggest to Karnataka government to grant permission to NRI students to appear for CET examination once they complete 12th standard in Kuwait or other GCC countries so that fee structures for NRI students matches that of locals.
