PATNA: Train traffic on Buxar-Patna route under Danapur division of ECR was affected for about two hours from 3.30pm to 5.30pm on Saturday after a truck’s axle broke down at the railway crossing gate number 47/B between Ara and Kulharia stations.
ECR CPRO Arvind Rajak said traffic movement on both Down and Up line was paralysed due to a truck breakdown at the railway crossing.
Since it was peak time for passenger trains, it virtually created a long bunching (trains stranded) at different roadside stations on the mainline section, he said, adding traffic was restored after the gate was cleared. RPF personnel were deployed at the gate for smooth road traffic while train movements were permitted under heavy security, said a railway official of Danapur.
