AHMEDABAD: Once upon a time cue sport was famous in India because of legendary Geet Sethi. He not only won multiple world titles but also dominated the sport at world level for years.
And to hear legend Sethi praising current world champion (both time and point) Pankaj Advani is so very heartening.
According to the nine-time billiards champion Sethi, Advani is going to stay at the top of the world for a long time.

"I started billiards when I was 13 and I think Pankaj was nine or 10 when he took to the sport. So, he has been playing the game for nearly 20 years now and he can continue to play until he is 45 or 50," he opined.
Talking about the 29-year-old's recent exploit in Leeds where is captured double title in the IBSF World Billiards championship, the 53-year-old Sethi feels that young Pankaj is still at work.
"Pankaj is still progressing in terms of playing. I feel that a billiards player reaches his peak between 30 to 35 years of age and hence I believe that we are still to see the best of Pankaj," Sethi said.
Advani has thus far won 10 individual World titles besides the World team billiards crown, two Asian Games (2006, 2010) gold medals in billiards, five Asian billiards titles besides 24 National championships in both junior and senior categories.
