ISLAMABAD- Justice Jawwad S Khawaja has taken oath as acting Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Justice Saqib Nisar administered oath to him at a ceremony in Islamabad today. The oath was administered by Justice Saqib Nisar in a simple but dignified ceremony in the Supreme Court, Islamabad.

Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja will act as Chief Justice of Pakistan during the period, Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk,Chief Justice of Pakistan remains abroad.   

The ceremony was attended by Judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Senior Lawyers and Officers of the Law &Justice Commission of Pakistan. Syed Tahir Shahbaz, Registrar, SupremeCourt, conducted the proceedings of oath taking ceremony. Officers and staff of Supreme Court of Pakistan were also present at the occasion.
