Bhopal, Nov 01 (ANI): Celebrating its 58th Formation Day on Saturday (November 01) the government of Madhya Pradesh organised a Marathon for the empowerment of women. The 10- kilometre marathon run began from TT Nagar stadium in Bhopal and was flagged off by the sports director of Madhya Pradesh, Upendra Jain. Prime Minister Modi also wished the people on the foundation day of their state. Also present at the marathon was former hockey player, Arjun Awardee, Ashok Dhyanchand, who said the theme of the marathon was 'Balika' (Girl) and was aimed at encouraging girls to participate in sports. A total of 14 states of the country share their foundation day with Madhya Pradesh which was formed on November 01, 1956.
