A Delhi man was arrested for allegedly harassing a woman at Sikanderpur Rapid Metro station on Thursday.Police produced the accused in a city court on Friday, where he was granted bail.

GURGAON: A Delhi man was arrested for allegedly harassing a woman at Sikanderpur Rapid Metro station on Thursday. Police produced the accused in a city court on Friday, where he was granted bail.
According to police, the accused, Shahzad Alam, was making obscene gestures at a woman on Thursday afternoon. He works with a Gurgaon-based company. The 26-year-old woman also works and lives in Gurgaon.
Police said the woman confronted Alam and informed the cops. A police team then reached the spot and arrested the accused. An FIR was filed under section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.
