The rain couldn’t dampen Kelly Klein’s spirits when Harry Benson came to shoot her portrait for “Palm Beach People,” his new coffee-table book with words by Hilary Geary Ross.
The fellow photographer and ex-wife of Calvin Klein was posing in a white lace dress when it started to rain.
“Kelly grabbed an umbrella and started dancing around,” Benson told me. “Not actually expecting her to agree, I jokingly suggested she jump in the pool, and like a pro, she obliged, making it one of my favorite photos in the book.”
The collaborators will launch the tome Nov. 10 with cocktails at Mallett Antiques on Madison Avenue.
