It's not a fun time to be a fan of the New York Jets, despite GM John Idzik's optimism. Jets wide receiver Eric Decker tried to keep morale high around Jets Nation on Monday, asking fans on Twitter why they love the team.

That probably wasn't the best idea at this point of the season.:

Unfortunately for Decker, his attempt to generate some excitement over Gang Green instead elicited a wide array of responses, ranging from sincere to humorous to half-depressing half-funny. The sarcastic tweets led to Decker's wife tweeting, "You think he really cares what y'all think haters?" Hours later, she deleted her Twitter account, per ESPN.com. Here are some of the responses.

@EricDecker87 Because of the feeling of accomplishment I get on Sunday when I get so much work done around the house. #jetsdiehardfan
