Home grown smartphone maker, Lava International Ltd. on Friday (31 October) launched a budget handset dubbed as the Iris Fuel 50 in India.

The new Lava phone sports a 5.0-inch FWVGA (480x854p) screen and ships with Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM and a 8GB inbuilt memory.

As the name implies, Iris Fuel 50 boasts a high-capacity 3,000 mAh battery, which can power the phone for close to 17 hours of talk time and close to 370 (15 days) hours under standby mode.

On the camera front, it houses 8.0-megapixel camera on the rear-side with dual LED flash, HDR, auto-focus and a 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front-side.

According to reports, Iris Fuel 50 has been made available across India starting today for ₹7,799 (MRP: ₹8,300).

Competition:

With a competitive price-tag of ₹7,799, Iris Fuel 50 will be competing against the popular Android One series Micromax Advance One, Karbonn Sparkle V, Spice Dream Uno, Moto E, Moto G (Gen 1.), Asus Zenfone 4 (and 5 also), Lumia 630, and many more phone from MNC and domestic brands.
