Alia Bhatt or Shraddha Kapoor - who will make it to 'Rock On! 2'?

Alia expected to lead Rock On! 2, but Shraddha is in the race too. The sequel to the critically-acclaimed Farhan Akhtar-Arjun Rampal starrer, Rock On!, will roll early next year.
Buzz is, Alia Bhatt will lead the cast. Says a source from the unit, “The makers want a young actress with a sexy vibe. Most importantly, they were looking for someone who is also a good singer and can record her own tracks."

Alia made her singing debut in Imtiaz Ali's Highway under the baton of AR Rahman, followed by Samjhawan in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.However, the source insists that the contract is yet to be signed and the makers are also in talks with Shraddha Kapoor who has the Ek Villian charbuster Galliyan to her credit and recently crooned a Kashmiri folk song, Do Jahaan, for Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider.
Rock On! had Prachi Desai and Shahana Goswami in supporting roles. They played love interests of Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal respectively.“The two girls are likely to return in part two. There will be more clarity on this soon," says the source .
However, Abhishek Kapoor, who made his directorial debut with Rock On!, will not be back in the director's chair. He is busy with Fitoor, an adaptation of Charles Dickens's Great Expectations and has handed the reins over to Shujaat Saudagar, an award-winning ad film-maker.
