He has been seen in negative leads in many popular series in the past like Shobha Somnath Ki, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev among others. Now, actor Vikramjeet Virk, will be seen in Zee TV’s superhero series, Maharakshak Aryan, in the negative lead as Triloki. He says that it is because of his sturdy looks that people always approach him for such roles.
But with interesting offers in his kitty from the South film industry, he has become a little choosy about the roles he takes up on television. “In fact, when Somesault Productions offered to me the role in Aryan, I wasn’t very sure if I should take it up. It felt like a regular superhero series. But once I was made aware of the in-depth details that were being put into the making of the show with superb quality of special-effects, I knew it was different,” says Virk, who is happy with the way the show as well as his character has turned out.
Coming to his character, Triloki, Virk says that it is well-etched out. “I was initially apprehensive as the hero opposite me is too young. But then I realised that that’s the beauty of the story. It is the supernatural powers of Aryan (portrayed by 19-year-old Aakarshan Singh) that would help him fight with a well-built villain,” says Virk.
The actor, who is doing two Telegu movies currently, says that he isn’t running after money. “I want to experiment with newer characters. I want to make it big in the industry by doing roles that will help me improve as an actor,” he remarks.
