Shoot stalled as Mohit along with 25 crew members contract eye infection

As many as 25 crew members and actor Mohit Sehgal — the male lead of Saurabh Tewari’s next show — contracted an eye infection on the same day, forcing the production house to stall the shoot.

Says a member, “We were shooting Mohit’s marriage sequence on the show at Bandra village. Everything went fine, but the following morning, when the crew, including the director, cameraman, executive producer, creative head and Mohit, woke up to shoot at another location, almost 26 people showed symptoms of conjunctivitis.However, we later learnt that the crew was not down with conjunctivitis, but some sort of infection where the eyes swell up with severe pain. It is eerie how the infection spread in such a weird manner. Other actors were fortunate enough to not contract it.” Mohit remained unavailable for comment.
