Woman SI hits DSP son with bat, victim for murder bid

BHOPAL: Son of a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) rank police official was allegedly beaten up by a woman sub-inspector and her male friend here on Wednesday. A case later registered at TT Nagar police station of the city. However, the victim and family demanded that a case under sections of attempt to murder be registered against woman police officer, alleging that a weak case was filed against the accused.
Subhransu Yadav is the son of DSP Sitaram Yadav, DSP Yadav is posted out of town. The trouble began when Subhransu objected to woman SI and her male friend's presence near his house. Soon, the situation turned ugly when the duo stormed into youth's house and hit him with a bat, resulting in youngster getting stitches on head.
Yadav's wife is associated with a political party.
Police registered counter case against DSP's son on complaint of the woman SI late Wednesday night.
