The T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) will hold the 22nd edition of its annual market research fair titled ‘BrandScan’ in Kundapur and Manipal on November 1 and 2, respectively.

A release by the institute on Wednesday said the fair used cleverly disguised games to gain insights into consumer psyche.

In Kundapur, the fair would be held at the municipality grounds, and in Manipal, it would be held at the Manipal Junior College (MJC) grounds.

With a rise in footfall since its inception in 1993, BrandScan has a unique way of eliciting unbiased and natural responses through the use of cleverly crafted “disguised games”.

The participants under the illusion of being a part of the simulation subconsciously reveal their true preferences and behaviour. The responses are analysed and conclusions deduced using several qualitative techniques.

The intricate buying behaviour of the consumer is simplified methodically.

To make it more effective, the fair is loaded with rock bands, dance performances and fashion shows.

All events are held at strategic locations of the formats, according to demographical needs for the research projects. Brand Scan is an alternative to the traditional market research.

The outcomes of this elaborate exercise are effective inclusive student development, enriched industry interface, and quality market research reports. BrandScan serves as a platform for both learning and entertainment.
