Former ministers of from the city included Prakash Dhere (revenue), Dilip Kamble (social welfare), Balasaheb Shivarkar (public works), and Chandrakant Chhajed (tourism). The cabinet ministers were late Jayantrao Tilak and late Ramkrishna More (MLCs), and Shashikant Sutar (agriculture).
