A Syrian army helicopter dropped two barrel bombs on a displaced persons camp in Idlib Wednesday, Reuters reports. Video footage shows the attack.
“It’s a massacre of refugees. Let the whole world see this, they are displaced people. Look at them; they are civilians, displaced civilians. They fled the bombardment,” a voice off camera said.
Reports on the death toll are varied, with some saying 10 people died and other sources claiming as many as 75 were killed.
Millions of Syrians have fled the ongoing violence that began in 2011 after pro-democracy protests.
