Army conducts Chennai tour for Assam students
The students interacted with Lt Gen Jagbir Singh, General Officer Commanding of the Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala Area. Lt Gen Singh motivated them to inculcate the spirit of national integration.
CHENNAI: The Army on Wednesday conducted a Chennai tour for students from two government schools in the Chirag district of Assam.
The team, consisting of 12 students, two teachers and an officer, will be in Chennai till October 31.
The students interacted with Lt Gen Jagbir Singh, General Officer Commanding of the Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala Area. Lt Gen Singh motivated them to inculcate the spirit of national integration.
The students were also taken on a tour to the Officers Training Academy, Marina Beach, Golden Beach and the Guindy National Park in the city.
