MANGALORE: Dinnalli in Kollegal taluk of Chamarajanagara district recorded maximum rainfall of 31.5mm in Karnataka in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on October 29. Shettikeri hobli in Chikkanayakanahalli taluk of Tumkur district recorded maximum temperature of 40.7°C on October 28 at 2.15pm. Manalli hobli in Bidar taluk of Bidar district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 9.4°C on October 29 from 6.30am to 6.45am.

Maximum temperature rose at many places over north interior Karnataka; so at a few places over south interior Karnataka and changed little over remaining parts of the state. Minimum temperature fell at many places over interior Karnataka and Malnad region; so at a few places over coastal Karnataka. More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 60% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 0% geographical area in the state.
Rainfall over the state is considered as isolated since 4% of the hoblis and gram panchayats recorded rainfall of =2.5mm. Moderate rain was recorded in 30 gram panchayats; light rain in 33 GPs; very light rain in 155 GPs; and no rain in remaining 1,704 GPs.
Karnataka for period from October 23 to October 29 recorded surplus rainfall of 125%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 25.4mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 57.2mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on October 29, four geographical regions received 0.7mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 3.2mm, a 78% deficit departure from normal.
