Mentor, protégé to clash at BO

R Balki’s assistant on Pa, Abhishek Dogra, is all set to lock horns with his guru. His film Dolly Ki Doli, starring Sonam Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, will hit the theatres on February 6-- the same day as Balki’s Amitabh Bachchan- Dhanush starrer Shamitabh.
When contacted, Balki said sportingly, “Come on, this is not a cricket match that you are talking of a clash between Dogra and me.In fact, I am proud and happy that he is making his debut as a director.”
Dogra on his part asserted that he looked up to his mentor and wanted his film to do well. "The two films belong to completely different genres and so the target audience will not be the same. Moreover, I had nothing to do with the release date of my film, a romcom. It was decided by my producer Arbaaz Khan,” he pointed out.

Dogra revealed that Balki has even messaged wishing him luck. “He texted me saying: ‘May your film rock this year. All my love and support for you’. That just goes shows what a great person he is,” he said.
