RWAs to start voter drive this weekend

The RWA umbrella body met sub divisional officer Dadri Rajesh Kumar Yadav on Tuesday to fix dates and procedures for issuing new voter cards and corrections in existing ones.

NOIDA: The RWA umbrella body met sub divisional officer Dadri Rajesh Kumar Yadav on Tuesday to fix dates and procedures for issuing new voter cards and corrections in existing ones. The drive by RWAs in coordination with respective Block Development Officers (BLO) will commence from this weekend.
"The aim is to get all those turning 18-years-old by January 2015 registered as new voters.
Corrections in existing voter cards such as address, relocationwill also be carried out," said N P Singh, president Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations.
Interested applicants are required to fill FORM-6 for new voter card, Form-7 for any type of objection, and Form-8 for transfer of name from one polling booth to another.
Forms can be given to a BLO or to the deputy election officer, Sector 19. For more details one can visit www.ceouttarpradesh.nic.in. BLOs will visit respective RWAs on October 30 to tally the voter list with photographs.
