Dinabandhu Sahoo, a professor of Botany in Delhi University, is set to take over as Director of the Imphal-based Institute of Bio-resources and Sustainable Development.
The post has been vacant since 2009.
Currently, Dr. Sahoo is a member of the governing body of Kalindi College here.
He has visited Antarctica and the Arctic and has also been involved with the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC, the United States.
