M'sia's Lower House Of Parliament Speaker Receives Courtesy Call From Canadian High Commissioner

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- Dewan Rakyat (Lower House of Parliament) Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia Tuesday received a courtesy visit from Canadian High Commissioner to Malaysia Judith St George at his office in Parliament building, here, Tuesday. Pandikar Amin said among the matters discussed was the visit by a delegation of Malaysian parliamentarians to Canada from this Nov 26 to Dec 6. He said the visit would be in preparation for Malaysia as host of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association's (CPA) annual conference in 2016 to be held in Sabah. "Hence towards this, there is a need for more indepth discussion with the Canadian parliamentary speaker and other officials in Canada, as the office of the Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) is located in Canada," he added after receiving the courtesy visit. -- BERNAMA
