JAMMU, Oct 27: Lajwanti Medical Trust in association with Jammu AGOI Chapter and various hospitals is organizing a workshop and orientation meeting on ‘Cancer Care’ from October 31 to November 3 in Jammu.
Giving details, Convener of the workshop and orientation meeting Dr Kasturi Lal said that the meeting evolving strategy and innovative research in Cancer Care in India is working on theme “Team Based Care Integrating Health Care Professionals into Oncosurgical Practice”.
A group of experts from across surgical specialists and non surgical disciplines from India will come together to share their views and knowledge with surgical and non surgical oncologists around Jammu, he added.
Dr Kasturi Lal further stated that some of the most recognized leaders in their respective fields will address the learning need of various speciality groups. It would provide our surgical and non surgical colleagues the possible standards of education and training in oncology with the overall goals of improving the safety of the patients, he added.
He disclosed that during the four days long meeting free surgery for cancer patients in various hospitals of Jammu will be provided and would also conduct detection clinics for patients.
