Ricky Wicher has been named factory manager at Dealers Auto Auction of Oklahoma (DAA/OKC), announced auction Owner and President Gary Smith. Smith reports that Wicher comes to the position from within DAA/OKC’s organization, where he worked previously in the auction’s Consignment Sales Department.

“With his background in franchise dealer sales and management, and his experience at the auction, Ricky will prove valuable in his new role as FactoryManager,” said Smith.  He notes that Wicher spent ten years with local franchise dealerships as used car manager, finance director and in new car sales..

“We know that our customers will reap the benefits of Ricky’s expertise as he reaches out to those who regularly attend our auction as well as to those who are yet to experience the benefits of doing business at DAA/OKC,” continued Smith  “The GM Sponsored Auction held bi-weekly at DAA/OKC is an important source for GM dealers in our region who seek  GM program, off-lease and company vehicles, and we are confident that Ricky will be instrumental in continuing the success of the factory program at DAA/OKC.” 

Dealers Auto Auction of Oklahoma City was founded by Gary Smith in 1988. DAA/OKC holds a General Motors Factory sale every other Tuesday at 10 am. The facility also offers the largest weekly vehicle consignment in the state, and the highest sales percentage of any independent auction in the region. A prestigious consignor lineup is led by Ally Auto Remarketing, RSA, Hertz and Avis/Budget Group. Located on 125 acres, the auction includes 11 auction lanes, a full service restaurant, and over 130,000 square feet of recon, mechanical and body/paint shop facilities.
