Ghanaian players returned to action over the weekend with attacker Jordan Ayew being the only recognisable Black Stars player to score abroad.

Though there were goals for Samuel Owusu, Stephen Asamoah, Prince Asubonteng and Derek Asamoah all got on target for their various clubs abroad over the weekend.

FRANCE
Jordan Ayew returned from suspension to score the consolation goal for Lorient who lost 2-1 Caen. Jordan won a penalty and converted it.

Caen dropped Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah to the bench. Black Stars defender  Jonathan Mensah  was in full time action for Evian Thonon Gaillard when they slipped to a 2-0 home loss against Nantes.

Andre Ayew   was booked in the 77th minute and he played the entire match for Olympique Marseille who lost 1-0 against Olympique Lyon.

In the Ligue de Nationale, former Ghana U17 attacker Charles Boateng was in full time action for Avranches who beat Le Poiré-sur-Vie 1-0.

Former FC Sion midfielder Ben Amofa was not in the Strasbourg team that lost 2-0 against Chambly.

ENGLAND
Swansea City pushed further up the ladder after beating Leicester City 2-0. Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp was unused by Leicester City.

Christian Atsu failed to make the Everton as they travelled to beat Burnley 3-1 at the Turf Moor.

Hiram Boateng  was not in the Crystal Palace that drew 2-2 with West Bromwich Albion.

In the Championship, Albert Adomah was in full time action Middlesbrough who drew 1-1 with Watford. Ghanaian starlet Bernard Mensah could not make the trip with Watford.

Ghanaian-born Norwegian international Alexander Tettey was in full time action for Norwich City held Sheffield Wednesday to a 0-0 draw.

In the League One,  Nana Ofori-Twumasi  dropped to the Yeovil Town bench when they lost 3-0 against Rochdale on Saturday.

Meanwhile in the League Two, Derek Asamoah came off the Carlisle United bench to score their match winner in their 2-1 win over Oxford United.

Patrick Agyemang  came off the bench in the last 11 minutes for Portsmouth who lost 2-1 against Shrewsbury Town.

GERMANY
Ghana defender Baba Rahman returned to the Augsburg starting line-up as they beat Freiburg 2-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Kevin-Prince Boateng missed Schalke 04′s 1-0 loss at Bayer Leverkusen due to injury.

Crocked Joe Gyau watched Borussia Dortmund's 1-0 home reverse against Hannover 96 from the bench.

In the Bundesliga II, defender Phil Ofosu-Aryeh played 84 minutes for Aalen who slipped to a 2-1 home loss at the hands of Union Berlin.

Young midfielder Manfred Osei-Kwadwo failed to make the Kaiserslautern squad when they drew 1-1 with Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Elsewhere in the Liga 3, Ghanaian-born Canadian Randy Edwini-Bonsu came off the bench to play the last 26 minutes for Stuttgarter Kickers who drew 2-2 with Energie Cottbus.

Reagy Ofosu played 77 minutes for Chemnitzer FC who shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw with Holstein Kiel.

Still in the Liga 3, Kwame Kusi was in full time action for Fortuna Koln who drew 1-1 with Preußen Münster.

ITALY
AS Roma managed to hold Sampdoria to a 0-0 draw in the Serie A on Saturday afternoon. Ghanaian youth midfielder Alfred Duncan who is on loan at Sampdoria from Inter Milan sat on the bench.

Isaac Cofie  came off the Chievo Verona bench in the 76th minute to play for them as they lost 2-1 against Genoa.

Midfielder  Kwadwo Asamoah  played full throttle for Juventus who defeated Palermo 2-1. Swedish-born Ghanaian Robin Quaison came off the Palermo bench to play the last ten minutes of the game.

Both  Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu  and  Masahudu Alhassan  were not in the Udinese team when they beat Atalanta 2-0 at the Estadio Communale Friuli. Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom came off the bench in the 46th minute to play for Atalanta.

AC Milan were halted by Fiorentina who held them to a 1-1 draw at the San Siro. Ghana midfielder  Sulley Muntari  played the entire match for Milan but compatriot  Michael Essien  was unused throughout the game.

Godfred Donsah  played the entire 90 minutes of the game for Cagliari who cruised to a 4-0 win over Empoli.

Parma's horrible season was highlighted when Sassuolo beat them 3-1. Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah started the game but was replaced in the 76th minute. Acquah's international team-mate Raman Chibsah was unused by Sassuolo.

In the Serie B, Genoa loanee M oro Al-Hassan sat on the Vicenza bench when they suffered a 2-1 loss at Catania.

Carpi went top of the table at the expense of Pescara after beating them 5-1. 18-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Ransford Selasi came off the bench in the 64th minute to play for Pescara.

Amidu Salifu  returned from injury to play for Modena who drew 0-0 with Bologna. Maxwell Acosty and Prince Besea could not make the Modena squad for the game.

HOLLAND
ADO Den Haag consigned Dordrecht to their fourth straight defeat after beating them 2-0. Belgian-born Ghanaian defender Marvin Peersmann was in full time action for Dordrecht.

Elvis Manu played 66 minutes for Feyenoord who won 1-0 against Cambuur.

Rodney Antwi  failed to make the FC Utrecht squad when they suffered a 5-1 home defeat against PSV Eindhoven.

Shadrach Eghan  was not in the FC Twente team when they slipped to a 2-1 loss at Excelsior.

Jeffrey Sarpong and Kingsley Boateng both played full throttle for NAC Breda who held Vitesse Arnhem to a 2-2 draw.

Heracles Almelo recorded a 1-0 loss at the hands of Willem II. There was no  Edwin Gyasi  in the Heracles team.

Center-back Johan Kappelhof played the full 90 minutes for FC Groningen who drew 2-2 with AZ  Alkmaar. Youngster Raymond Gyasi warmed the AZ Alkmaar bench.

Dutch-born Derrick Luckassen was also unused by Alkmaar. Kenny Tete dropped to the Ajax II team when the senior team beat Go Ahead Eagles 3-1.

In the Eerste Divisie, Leeroy Owusu, Kenny Tete and Elton Acolatse  all played full throttle for Jong Ajax who drew 1-1 with Jong PSV Eindhoven. Emmen beat Twente II 3-0.

Marcel Appiah played the full 90 minutes for NEC Nijmegen who beat Oss 3-1.

Mustapha Yahaya returned to the Twente II starting line-up and played the entire match for them.

In the third-tier league, Sir Ralph Owusu and Kenneth Misa-Danso both started the game for Ajax Amateurs who lost 2-0 at Kozakken Boys.

SPAIN
Ghanaian starlet Thomas Partey was booked in the 13th minute and played the entire duration of the game for Almeria who lost 1-0 against Atletic Club.

Midfielder  Derek Boateng  was in full time action for Eibar in their 1-1 draw with Granada FC on Saturday.

Fatau Mohammed could not make the Rayo Vallecano first team squad as they lost 4-0 at Malaga.

In the Segunda Division, midfielder Kasim Nuhu was in full time action for Real Mallorca who beat Sabadell 1-0.

Razak Brimah was sent off in the 13th minute while in action for his Mirandes side who lost 3-0 against Girona.

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Anaba was in full time action for Elche B when they lost 2-1 at Cornella.

Clifford Aboagye and Richard Boateng both played for Granada B when they drew 1-1 with Arroyo.

SERBIA
Youngster Obeng Reagan played 77 minutes for Cukaricki who eased past OFK Beograd after beating them 4-0.

Former Hearts of Oak captain  Moro Abubakar  played the entire match for Donji Srem who were beaten 1-0 at Red Star Belgrade.

Sunyani-born Abraham Frimpong was benched by Napredak in their 1-0 home loss against Novi Pazar on Saturday evening.

Radniki Niš posted a narrow 1-0 win over Radniki 1923. Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Cudjoe played 53 minutes for Radniki 1923 but former Hearts of Oak pair of Godwin Osei Bonsu and Karim Alhassan were both not in the team for the game.

BELGIUM
Nana Akwasi Asare was a full timer for KAA Gent who drew 2-2 with Club Brugge.

Standard Liege surprised Anderlecht by beating them 2-0 at their own backyard. Winger Frank Acheampong played the entire game for Anderlecht.

Denis Odoi was in full time action for Lokeren who drew 2-2 with Mouscron Peruwelz. But young forward Eugene Ansah could not make the Lokeren squad for the game.

Westerlo returned to winning ways after posting a 2-1 win over Kortrijk. Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Mitch Apau lasted 74 minutes for Westerlo.

KRC Genk posted a narrow 1-0 win over Waasland-Beveren. Ghana defender David Addy played the full 90 minutes of the game for Waasland-Beveren but midfielder Bennard Kumordzi missed the game with injury.

Lierse SK suffered a 1-0 loss at their own backyard against KV Mechelen on Friday. French-born Ghanaian defender Jerry Vandam warmed the bench for Mechelen.

In the Second Division, Stephen Asamoah scored the second goal for AS Eupen who beat Heist 4-0 at their own backyard.

Ghanaian attacker Prince Asubonteng scored the solitary goal of the game for Dessel Sport who beat Geel 1-0.

Abdul Yekinu-Iddi assisted the equaliser for OH Leuven who drew 1-1 with Mons. He was replaced in the 80th minute.

RUSSIA
Former Arsenal midfielder  Emmanuel Frimpong  came off the bench to play the entire second-half for FC Ufa who shared the spoils with CSKA Moscow in a 3-3 draw.

Rabiu Mohammed was booked in the 47th minute while in full time action for Kuban' Krasnodar who squeezed a point out of Torpedo Moskva.

SOUTH AFRICA
Hlompho Kekana goal sent AmaZulu packing from the Telkom Knockout competition after losing 2-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns following 120 minutes in a quarterfinal match at Loftus on Saturday night. Ghana midfielder John Arwuah played the entire game for AmaZulu.

USA
Winger Quincy Amarikwa played the entire minutes for Chicago Fire who beat Houston Dynamo 2-1. Patrick Nyarko was not in the Dynamo squad for the game.

DC United ended the regular season by holding Montreal Impact to a 1-1 draw at their own backyard. Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom did not get a starting place but he came off the bench in the 65th minute to play for United.

TURKEY
Jerry Akaminko has not returned from injury for Eskisehirspor who lost 4-2 at Mersin.

But striker Abdul Majeed Waris is still without a goal for Trabzonspor who drew 4-4 with Gaziantepspor.

On Friday, former Tema Youth and Ghana U20 defender Joseph Attamah was booked in the 61st minute and played the entire game for Adana Demispor when they drew 1-1 with leaders Antalyaspor.

Alanyaspor did themselves good by winning 2-1 against Giresunspor. Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Yussif Chibsah was not in the Alanyaspor squad for the game.

SWITZERLAND
Ebenezer Assifuah finally made a return from injury by coming off the bench to play the last 20 minutes for FC Sion who held FC Basel to a 1-1 draw. Winger Ishmael Yartey was unused.

SWEDEN
Nasiru Mohammed assisted BK Hacken's first goal and played the entire duration of the game as they posted a 3-1 win over Gefle IF.

Augustine Okrah and Richard Donkor both failed to the first team squad for the game. In the Superettan, midfielder Zakaria Abdullai was in full time action for Husqvarna who held Degerfors to a 1-1 draw.

Former Ghana U20 defender Ebenezer Ofori played the entire scored the opening goal for AIK Solna who beat Ativdabergs 4-0. Moro Ibrahim also played in the game for AIK. Kwame Karikari could not make the AIK squad for the game but Mohammed Abubakari played for the vanquished. Emmanuel Boakye sat on their bench too.

King Osei-Gyan and Joseph Baffo were influential for Halmstad BK who beat Falkenbergs 4-0. Forward Godsway Donyoh came off the bench in the 55th minute to play for Falkenbergs.

CZECH REPUBLIC
Dutch-born Kevin Luckassen came off the bench to set up the third goal for Slovan Liberec who cruised to a 4-2 win over Bohemians 1905.

Former Liberty Professionals midfielder  Isaac Sackey  missed the game with injury. Francis Narh  and Derrick Mensah both played the entire 90 minutes for Banik Ostrava who suffered a 3-1 defeat at FK Pribram.

NORWAY
Stromsgodset slipped to a 3-2 away loss at Haugesund. Adam Kwarasey 's blunders cost Stroms the points in the game. Ghanaian duo of Mohammed Abu and Nana Boateng also played the entire game for Stroms.

Winger Ernest Asante played 61 minutes for IK Start who lost 1-0 against Lillestrom.

Mahatma Otoo played the full 90 minutes of the game for Sogndal IF who lost 1-0 against Molde.

SCOTLAND
Midfielder Abdul Osman was in full time action for Partick Thistle who drew 0-0 with St. Johnstone on Saturday.

Wakaso Mubarak  set up the second goal for Celtic and played 76 minutes as they won 2-0 against Kilmarnock.

In the Championship,  Prince Buaben  played the entire game for Hearts of Midlothian who drew 1-1 with Hibernian.

BULGARIA
Michael Tawiah was in full time action for Haskovo who lost 1-0 against Marek on Saturday.

DENMARK
FC Copenhagen defeated Hobro 2-0 at the own backyard.  Daniel Amartey  assisted the second goal of the game while Danish-born Danny Amankwaa also played the entire match for Copenhagen.

German-born Ghanaian defender Lenny Sowah came off the bench to play for Vestsjaelland who won 2-1 at Silkeborg.

In the second-tier league, Jeff Mensah and Kevin Mensah both played for Viborg who lost 1-0 at Vendsyssel FF.

PORTUGAL
Youngster Bernard Mensah was in full time action for Vitória Guimarães who beat Vitória Setúbal. Ghanaian-born Burkina Faso international Nii Adama Plange was benched.

SAUDI ARABIA
Ghanaian attacker Winful Cobbinah opened his goal account in the Saudi Arabian Pro League for Najran who beat Hajer 3-0.

Moussa Narry and Emmanuel Banahene both played for Al Orubah who drew 2-2 with Al Khaleej. In other games, striker Samuel Owusu scored the only goal of the game for Al Shoalah who beat Al Fateh 1-0.

CYPRUS
Mustapha Quanyor played the entire minutes of the game for Ermis who shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Ayia Napa.

Razak Nuhu played the full 90 minutes for Anorthosis Famagusta who beat Othellos Athienou 1-0. U D Ndong was also in full time action for Othellos Athienou.

GREECE
Midfielder Aziz Tetteh came off the bench to play the last 18 minutes for Platanias who beat Kerkyra 2-1.

KAZAKHSTAN
Patrick Twumasi played 58 minutes for Astana who beat Shakhtar Karagandy 2-0 on Sunday.

Dominic Adiyiah  played the entire game for Atyrau but he could not score as they beat Taraz 3-2 in the relegation play-offs.

ROMANIA
