Guwahati: For a group of 15 students from the state’s insurgency-hit Udalguri district, about 150 km from here, a trip to Rajasthan made for some beautiful memories.
The Red Horns Division of the Army took the group on a national integration tour to Rajasthan. The students visited Jaipur, Alwar and Jodhpur between October 11 and 22. They interacted with locals and experienced different cultures and regions, said the Army.
The tour was flagged off by the General Officer Commanding of Gajraj Corps, Lt Gen A K Ahuja, at Rangiya.
“The tour gave an opportunity to these young students to increase their understanding of the country. It left a positive impression on their young minds,” the Army said.
