Actor in critical condition

MUMBAI: Actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar is in a critical condition at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri (W).
The 64-year-old actor was hospitalized two weeks ago with breathing problems and turned critical a few days ago. “Sadashiv Amrapurkar is suffering from complete respiratory failure and is critical. A team of doctors is doing its best to ensure his recovery,” KDAH chief operating officer Dr Santosh Shetty said.A source said he was on ventilator in the ICU. “He is quite critical,” he said. Amrapurkar received the Filmfare Award for Ardh Satya for best supporting actor and the best performance in a negative role for Sadak in 1991.
