MANGALORE: KMC Hospital, Mangalore, in association with Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust is organizing a free screening camp at Government Wenlock Hospital, Mangalore on October 28. Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust manages Vajpayee Arogya Shree Health Scheme, a Government of Karnataka initiative under which super specialty treatment is offered for BPL card holders in the state.
Free screening camp will be organized for people who are suffering from cancer and cardiac ailments and for new born and younger ones under neonatal and paediatric surgery segment. New born kids can also get treated under Vajpayee scheme for all their pediatric surgery ailments. BPL patients diagnosed with above mentioned diseases and who are in need of further treatment as inpatients will be treated under Vajpayee Arogya Shree scheme at KMC Hospital Attavar and Ambedkar Circle Mangalore.
Dr Anand Venugopal, medical superintendent of KMC Hospital urged the public to make maximum use of this camp.
