Greater China Billionaires To Speak At Forbes Conference In Singapore Next Week

Some of Greater China’s most influential business leaders will be exchanging opinions about regional and global business trends beginning Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the annual Forbes Global CEO Conference being held this year in Singapore.

Among the billionaires speaking from mainland China will be Vincent Mo, chairman of real estate website SouFun, Liang Xinjun, vice chairman of investment firm Fosun Holdings, and Li Hejun, chairman of renewable energy specialist Hanergy Holdings. (Fosun Media is a licensing partner of Forbes Media in China.)

Speakers from Hong Kong include Sonia Cheng, the granddaughter of Cheng Yu-tung, who leads the Rosewood Hotel Group, and Pansy Ho, co-chair of MGM China Holdings.

Taiwan billionaire Douglas Hsu of the Far Eastern Group will be joining in the discussions.  Far Eastern is a conglomerate whose interests include mobile telecommunications, financial services and textiles.  Steven Pan, chairman of Regent Hotels & Resorts, will also be attending.  

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Forbes Editor-in-Chief Steve Forbes will kick off the event with a one-on-one “Meeting of Minds” on Tuesday evening.

Prominent China –based investors Gary Rieschel, managing director of Qiming Ventures, and David Wei, chairman of Vision Capital, will also be on hand.

“China Wealth” will be present, too, and filing from Singapore.

The conference wraps up on Oct. 30.
