35 houses gutted in Ganjam

BERHAMPUR: Thirty-five families in different villages of Ganjam district were rendered homeless on Thursday as their thatched houses were gutted during Diwali celebrations.
The affected villages are Bhejipadar, Jayantipur, Belijhari, Kendupalli, Baunalundi, Singipur, Gouradeipur and Belajia.
Two houses were gutted in Nilakanthanagar of Berhampur. Firemen put out the blaze at some places, said fire officer (south range, Berhampur) Bhabagrahi Ghadei.
