Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain Bin Ali Mirza, the Honorable Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, Cigre, in cooperation with Bahrain Electricity and Water Authority is organizing THE 10th GCC Cigre International conference and the 19th exhibition for electrical equipment "GCC POWER 2014" in Manama – Kingdom of Bahrainfrom 10 to 12 November 2014.
The three-day conference aims at giving participants the opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in the electricity and energy industry, in addition to providing exhibitors with access to the most profitable deals.
The conference will also highlight the challenges facing the power sector in the region, gathering hundreds of experts and those concerned with the power sector to develop business relations and exchange experiences.
Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss the latest trends and strategies to meet the region's rapidly expanding energy needs through a series of panel and technical sessions.
"we are privileged to host such a significant specialized convention to discuss the power sector affairs and develop active framework between GCC power ministries, in accordance with the economic boom in this region and the rapid growth of gulf council members", said H.E. Dr. Abdul Hussain Bin Ali Mirza, the Honorable Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs.

Dr. Abdul Hussain Bin Ali Mirza.

"The main reason behind the participation of Bahrain Electricity and water authority in this function is to find the most suitable solutions for our future problems in power sector, so that we can ensure satisfactory services for all, which would help the kingdom attract more investments and promising projects in the near future", added Shaikh Nawaf.

"The increasing demand on electricity imposes new challenges on how GCC authorities could offer enough supply to all citizens and manufacturers, and this conference will be the right platform to shed light on these issues, and come up with useful ideas with successful participation", explained Shaikh Nawaf.
