FAI Cup finalists St Pat’s guaranteed European football for next season, with a convincing 4-1 win over Sligo Rovers.

Man of the match Conan Byrne scored twice and set up one for Christy Fagan, with his opener coming on 32 minutes from close range.

Danny Ledwith smashed a clearance off the helpless Brush and into the net early in the second half, but youngster Gary Armstrong responded immediately for Rovers with a fine finish inside the area.

Fagan got the third after some great play by Brennan and Byrne, before Byrne himself volleyed a fourth in stoppage time.
