BANGALORE : A late-night party of a group of men ended in the murder of a rowdy who was wanted in 30 cases. Syed Rahil, 27, was allegedly stabbed to death with a dagger by Wahid Khan, 28, son of former corporator Mehboob Khan. Wahid, who is also wanted in criminal cases, has been arrested for stabbing Syed at a house in Vinobanagar near K G Halli, Bangalore North. The incident occurred around 3.30am on Friday.

Rahil, who was released on bail one-and-a-half months ago, was in good terms with Wahid, but their conversation over drinks turned sour, police said. Rahil had shot at an inspector in 2011 while escaping after committing an offence. He is wanted in assault, attempt to murder, robbery and extortion cases. Woman hangs herself: A 45-year-old woman was found hanging at her residence in Munekolalu near HAL, East Bangalore, on Thursday night.
Saroja, who was living with her son Prem Kumar and his wife, allegedly committed suicide when they had gone to Thanjavur for Diwali celebrations. The couple returned home on Friday morning to find their mother hanging. She didn't leave any suicide note. Sources said Saroja was suffering from an ailment and this could have prompted her to take the extreme step.
