Interview with Alex Chavez, owner/manager
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: We have been local business owners in Parker for about two years. My husband and I were thinking it would be a great business opportunity to own a frozen yogurt business. So when we found out that Jamie and John where selling right next to our restaurant, we looked forward to the challenge. So we are still family owned and operated. We hope to make some changes and bring this business to the next level.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We are making a place were parents and kid can come in and enjoy a great atmosphere. Have fun and enjoy good quality sweets!
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: Of course, working for yourself. Isn’t that everybody’s goal in life, to be your own boss? We have the freedom to change things to our liking and make people smile. Frozen yogurt tends to do that all on its own.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Our biggest challenge is the winter time. People tend to not want anything cold in the winter time. We plan to add coffee, hot chocolate, cookies and pastries to help supplement the cold weather. We also run winter specials with our loyalty program and more. Every little bit helps.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: My husband and I own Golden Flame Hot Wings and Fro Yo Spot in Parker. We plan to cross promote as much as possible. We enjoy owning businesses in Parker because of the people, and great neighborhoods.
