GURGAON: The 55-year-old businessman, who allegedly shot his wife nine times at his Palam Vihar house following a heated argument on Wednesday afternoon, was arrested on Friday.
Police said they nabbed
Dinesh Khullar from Buddha Garden in Delhi for allegedly killing his 50-year-old wife and also seized his car which he used to flee after the shooting.
He was traced by the police on Thursday night after his daughter, Abha, who had received a call from him on Wednesday, gave cops the call details and lodged a complaint against him .
The victim's body was handed over to the couple's son, a pilot, who arrived from Indonesia, and
Abha who lives in
Janakpuri.
Meanwhile, the police said that Khullar, during preliminary interrogation, contradicted his daughter's version that he used to have regular fights with his wife and that he was involved in an extra-marital affair.
"We will produce the accused in a city court on Saturday and seek his remand. The cause behind the murder will be clear soon," said police commissioner
Alok Mittal.
