16-yr-old among five Naxals held

NAGPUR : Five senior Naxal cadres, including a 16-year-old having 2 lakh rewards on him, have been nabbed from different locations in Gadchiroli district during security forces’ operations during the last couple of days. Police claimed that the five cadres carried total rewards to the tune of 26 lakh on their heads.
Police said they had rounded up a teenager from Perimili on Thursday for his alleged role in Naxal movement.The boy, a resident of Pindigudam in Etapalli, was a member of Aheri Local organization squad (LOS). Dunga Tekam, alias Yesu, alias Vasant, 30, a former commander of Platoon 15, was arrested from Dhanora on Thursday by security forces during special anti-Naxal operation. Police stated Dunga had 12 lakh reward on him.
Police on Thursday also arrested Manas Tarami, alias Sonaru, 21, during operation at Malewada. There was a reward of 8 lakh on him. An urban cadre of Naxals, identified as Raju Netam, has been also picked up from Gadchiroli on Wednesday for allegedly providing logistics support to rebels. He was a driver who later started supporting Naxal movement and started helping the rebels.
Platoon 3 member Vasant Wadde, alias Raijiram, 21, is also among the arrested. He was netted on Tuesday.
