No question of ordering probe: Parsekar

PANAJI : Health minister Laxmikant Parsekar said that there is no question of ordering an inquiry against the senior casualty doctor of the Goa Medical College (GMC) and Hospital, Bambolim. The doctor has been accused of outraging the modesty of a Russian woman when she was brought to the casualty ward for a medical examination.
There is no evidence to show that the doctor outraged the modesty of the Russian woman and no police complaint has been lodged, he said.The Russian woman was taken to the casualty ward after she lodged a complaint at the Calangute police station on October 19 that she was assaulted and her gold chain was stolen by an unidentified person at Calangute in the early hours of October 17. tnn
