Entrepreneur week starts in Fuzhou

A weeklong event for entrepreneurs began on Friday at Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province.

The 2014 Fujian International Talent, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week features opportunities to invest in high-tech startups, entrepreneurship contests and meetings about information technology, biomedicine and new materials.

A hundred participants from overseas will make presentations.

The provincial government is offering subsidies of at least 200,000 yuan ($32,500) to help entrepreneurs start businesses, officials said.
