Mumbai City FC play hosts to NorthEast United in the eleventh fixture of the Hero Indian Super League at the DY Patil Stadium on Friday.

Following their recent 5-0 win over Pune City in the Maharashtra derby, Mumbai City will be bubbling with confidence ahead of their home clash against NorthEast FC.

The win was especially very impressive considering they had recorded a 0-3 loss against Atletico de Kolkata in their opening ISL fixture.

Brazilian midfielder André Moritz was very impressive from Mumbai against Pune as he became the first player to record a hat-trick in the Hero Indian Super League.

Apart from their attacking Mumbai City, they were also solid at the back as they managed to keep a clean sheet despite most of their players going forward in attack.

However, Mumbai boss Peter Reid admits that his side's game against NorthEast United, who are currently in second place in the ISL, on Friday will not be that easy.

"It is going to be hard though on Friday. I know their coach Ricki Herbert. I've managed against him when he was the New Zealand coach and I was with Thailand," said Reid, according to Zee News.

Nevertheless, the former Manchester City boss feels that his side will be able to get "another positive result" if they play the same way they played in the Maharashtra derby.

"It will be difficult, but we are looking forward to it and we hope to replicate our passing from the last game and hopefully get another positive result. I want to go out there and be as solid as we were against Pune. If we get it right with the attacking players we've got, we can give anyone a game."

Meanwhile, NorthEast United will be hoping to start their first game on the road with a win.

The John Abraham co-owned side, who have had all of their opening three ISL fixtures at home, will be thoroughly tested against Mumbai City as they will not be having the support of their home fans at the DY Patil Stadium on Friday.

Considering that they are playing away from home and Mumbai City defeated Pune City 5-0 in their last ISL fixture at the DY Patil Stadium, NorthEast are expected to use defensive tactics on Friday.

But NorthEast United boss Ricki Herbert says that his side are not intimidated of Mumbai City, insisting that they will be attacking on Friday.

"We also look to play an attacking brand of football. We are not here to shut things up and be incredibly defensive. We respect a side that has scored five in its previous game, but that will not deter us from trying to play our offensive brand of football. We are injury-free as well, so that should help," Herbert told ISL's official website.

The former New Zealand boss, who feels that his side should have beat "Goa by quite a few goals", says that NorthEast United will "try and be more clinical" against Mumbai City.
