Samajwadi pension from Nov 5

Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav will inaugurate the Samajwadi Pension Yojana on November 5, 2014. Under the first phase of the scheme, the state government has selected 12 lakh beneficiaries from the SC-ST category, 10 lakh from the minority community and 18 lakh poor families from the backward and other categories.

LUCKNOW : Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav will inaugurate the Samajwadi Pension Yojana on November 5, 2014. Under the first phase of the scheme, the state government has selected 12 lakh beneficiaries from the SC-ST category, 10 lakh from the minority community and 18 lakh poor families from the backward and other categories.
An official government spokesperson said chief minister Akhilesh Yadav will distribute the %first batch of pension %cards to beneficiaries at Janeshwar Mishra park on November 5.
The scheme covers both urban and rural poor in and has a provision for annual increment of Rs 50, on the base pension amount of Rs 500, provided beneficiaries meet all conditions laid down by the government.
The government has also made arrangements to ensure all pension is disbursed to beneficiaries electronically, directly to their bank accounts.
