Royal Caribbean guides low

The operator of Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Azamara Club cruises and other cruise lines reported preliminary results. Q3 EPS rose about 29% to $2.20, a penny better than expected. Revenue rose 3.5% to $2.39 bil, just below consensus for $2.40 bil. Royal Caribbean Int'l (RCL) said that early bookings for '15 "are robust, and the current order book is better than at the same time last year in both volume and price." The cruise operator expects EPS this quarter of 35-40 cents, below views for 46 cents. Shares fell 1.8% to 62.29.
