Composer Arjuna Harjai teams up with Arijit Singh

It’s a huge compliment for a new composer when none other than Arijit Singh himself compliments you and says “you’re different”. Arjuna Harjai who who composed the music for the romantic track O Soniya for the movie Titoo MBA got a chance to work with Arijit Singh who lent his voice for Arjuna’s composition. The song released last week under the Zee Music label.
“From the time he was a contestant on Fame Gurukul in 2006, I was keen to work with Arijit Singh who was a contestant on that show”, reminsces Arjuna. Last heard in Calapor, a drama, starring Rituparna Sengupta and Priyanshu Chatterjee, Arjuna finally got a chance to work with his favourite playback singer when he sung tracks for his newest venture, Titoo MBA, a rom-com slated to release on 21st November.
“After dubbing the song, when we were listening to the track, he said you have a different style of composing. He mentioned that the graph of my composition is different and unique. He personally liked the track, and was willing to sing it and give it his best. Working with him was difderent because he himself is a very unique and divine person. It was lovely having Arijit Singh singing my track, the way he did justice to it, no one else would have.”
Arjuna has also worked as a jingle singer and composer for brands like Cadbury Bournville, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Lenovo, Big Bazaar, Samsung, Maruti Sprite and MTNL among others. Arjuna has also assisted popular music composer Lalit Pandit for over a year and worked with him on projects like Besharam.
