LABUAN: A motorcyclist died on the spot when his machine hit an oncoming car while overtaking a trailer at Jalan Arsat, Thursday.He was on the way to Jalan Mohd Salleh from Jalan Rancha Rancha, trailing behind the trailer when the tragedy occurred at 11.30am at the uphill bend near Basel Church.A Wira from the opposite direction emerged from the corner, causing the motorcycle to hit the rear of the car.

The victim was flung off and landed near the trailer's back-wheels. He suffered head injuries as his helmet flew off.The body of the deceased was taken to hospital for a post-mortem.
