After her multiple stints in acting, Shilpa Shetty is gaining ground in other realms. Known to have maintained a strict fitness regimen and maintaining her physique even after the birth of her son, she is now venturing towards writing. She is set to publish a book on health and nutrition, which will be based on her personal tryst with staying healthy.

“I am writing a book on nutrition and health. I am going to put that in the book all that I have learnt so far,” said Shilpa, reported the Times of India. “It’s all in the mind. You have to train your mind to lose weight. You have to make lifestyle modification. With a positive approach, you can achieve anything,” she added.

The Baazigar star said she ensures that her family, including husband Raj Kundra and two-year-old son Viaan, maintain a healthy lifestyle. “My son is very lean, but he eats healthy. My son and I both eat ghee in our meals. I don’t believe in dieting and fasting,” commented Shilpa, reported dnaindia.com.

The book is being co-written by a nutritionist who Shilpa met during her pregnancy. She feels, “A lot of people do not understand nutrition. I have noticed that mothers are keen on making their kids hog on food all day long. This is a wrong practice.” Adding, “Mothers need to know what is right and nutritious for their kids and should be able to bring them up by feeding healthy stuff. I am also writing the book as a mother.”

The super mom’s sense of style has also been lauded at several occasions. She pulls off traditional wear with ease and it is no surprise that last month, she launched her own sari line titled SSK (Shilpa Shetty Kundra). “I have grown up watching my mom wearing saris and have special love for saris. We belonged to a middle class family and my mom would buy an ordinary sari and then paint on it to make it look different,” she shared. Commenting on her collection, she said, “The rates are affordable. I am doing this for my fans, especially those who have always wanted to look like Shilpa Shetty.”

Shilpa acknowledges how busy she stays and credits her successes to her familial support system. “I am left with no time for myself, yet, I love to work and my husband knows that. He encourages me to stay busy with whatever I like to do,” she said, reported the Deccan Chronicle.
